New Multifunctional Nanoparticles Target Lung Cancer

Only 15 percent of patients survive.

But researchers at the Peggy and Charles Stephenson Cancer Center hope to change that with a new approach that utilizes special targeted nanoparticles.

Peggy and Charles Stephenson Cancer Center researchers say the ultimate goal for this sort of work is to be able to develop highly-personalized treatments for each cancer patient to improve outcomes and survival.

The research was funded in part by grants from the National Cancer Institute and The Joans Legacy: United against Lung Cancer.
